Dr. Greg Herbert:
Growing up in Baltimore Dr. Herbert had three idols—Brooks Robinson, Jonny Unitas and his father. Since he couldn’t play baseball or football Dr. Herbert wisely chose to follow in the footsteps of his veterinarian father, one of Baltimore’s original small animal practitioners. Following graduation Dr. Herbert practiced for many years in Boston with Dr. Ira Zaslow, founder of the Veterinary Critical Care Society. Upon returning to Baltimore in 1985 Dr. Herbert joined Dr Schultz at Anne Arundel Veterinary Hospital where he has remained since. Dr. Herbert loves all aspects of veterinary medicine but his special interest is surgery.
Dr. Herbert married his high school sweetheart Susi and has been married for 34 years. He has two grown sons, neither of who have the slightest interest in becoming a veterinarian. His other interests include wooden ship model making, playing the guitar and philately. When not in his workshop Dr. Herbert is glued to the “How To” channel where he is learning how to build motorcycles, grill outdoors and survive in the Australian outback.
Dr. Stanley Schultz:
Dr. Schultz has been at Anne Arundel Veterinary Hospital since 1974 and purchased the practice with Dr. Herbert in 1989. When he is not working in the hospital he can be found in his 18 foot alluminum boat looking for crabs. He also loves to go fly fishing in Florida once or twice a year.
Dr. Schultz and his wife have a son, a daughter, and a young grandson. He shares his home with 2 Golden Retrievers and a Dachshund.
Dr. Donald Schrank:
Dr. Schrank grew up in western New York State. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania in 2002 he came to Anne Arundel Veterinary Hospital. In July 2005 he took a one year hiatus from the hospital to volunteer at the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in Grenada, West Indies. Fortunately he returned to Maryland and has been practicing at Anne Arundel Veterinary Hospital since. In his free time Dr. Schrank enjoys playing Ultimate Frisbee and has recently begun learning to whitewater kayak.
Dr. Schrank has with two cats, sisters named Houston and Dyna who he adopted from the mean streets of Philadelphia.
